Renu & Vishesh - South Indian & Punjabi Indian Wedding at Ritz-Carlton - Amelia Island, Flor

Vishesh and Renu came from geographically opposite places. Vishesh from chilly hockey-obsessed Edmonton, Alberta in Canada, and Renu from the sunny horse-famous town of Ocala, Florida. Their paths crossed while in residency in Albany, NY.

It all started when Vishesh spotted Renu in a Grand Rounds lecture at Albany Medical Center. He took the next few months trying to work up the courage to ask her on a date. Finally on December 23, 2013 they went on their first date, and they have been inseparable ever since.

After months of preparation, Vishesh planned an elaborate proposal complete with a room full of rose petals and candles, a violinist playing Renu's favorite Disney song, a video with words of love from loved ones, and even a surprise visit from Renu's friends and family who flew in from Florida to support Vishesh pop the question!

Their careers have taken them to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where both are completing fellowship training; Renu is in her first year of child and adolescent psychiatry and Vishesh is in his second year of cardiology. Now the wedding planning ensues...
